How it works

  1. We list what's needed

Each month the homes count what they have and list what they need, with how many. Urgent things go to the top.

  2. You choose and give

Tick what you'd like to give and how many. Pay, and we buy it, or bring it yourself on a booked day.

  3. You see it land

The count goes down for everyone straight away, and your gift goes on the thank-you wall.

Fund it (easiest)

Pay by PayNow or card. MTFA buys the items in bulk from our suppliers, usually for less than shop prices, and brings them to the homes when they're needed. Nothing expires in a storeroom, and nobody has to receive a delivery.

Drop it off yourself

Choose the items on the needs list, then “I'll buy it and drop it off”. Pick a home, a weekday and a time:

We email you the address. When you've dropped it off, tap Done on your gift's page, with a photo if no one was there. Fresh food and sized items (like school shoes) can only be funded.

Please don't send Grab or Lalamove deliveries without booking: the homes may not have anyone free to receive them.

Questions

Why not just bring what I think they need?

Thank you for wanting to! But we often get more rice than we can store, and it expires, while detergent, pads and toilet paper run out. The list makes sure every gift gets used.

What if an item is fully given?

It moves to the bottom marked “Fully given” and can't be added. You'll see what's still urgent instead, or next month's list, or our campaigns.

Is my gift tax-deductible?

Money given to MTFA (an Institution of Public Character) can be, if you give your NRIC/FIN so we can tell IRAS. Items dropped off aren't tax-deductible. (To confirm with MTFA finance before launch; see the notes for staff.)

Can I promise for next month and pay later?

Yes. Choose next month at the top of the list, tick “Remind me to pay”, and we'll email you a payment link on the 1st. Your promise shows on the wall straight away.

Who sees my name?

Only what you choose for the wall: your first name, your full name, or “A kind donor”. Your email and WhatsApp are never shown, and are used only as MTFA's PDPA policy allows.

Darul Ihsan Orphanage is run by MTFA (Muslimin Trust Fund Association), a registered charity and IPC. Questions about your data: dpo@mtfa.org.
